Annual fund drive

     The Board of Trustees of the Herr Memorial Library appeals to residents of Mifflinburg and the surrounding community with letters sent out in late summer and again in late fall.

     The Herr Memorial Library has been a cornerstone of the Mifflinburg community since 1944.  It provides free access to materials, services and programming that is valuable for the continued education, employment, enjoyment, and self-government of residents.

     You are an important source of the energy and funding that allows the library to serve residents with a diverse collection, Internet access on public computers, and programming for children and adults in a secure, family atmosphere.

     There are a variety of ways to support the Herr Memorial Library, including attending or participating in fund-raising events such as the Christkindl Kaffeehaus in December and the annual used book sale in May. 

     A monetary gift of any size will help support the library, but a larger donation will help to reduce the library's deficit and move forward to become an even better asset to Mifflinburg.

     Donations in the form of checks or money orders should be made payable to "Herr Memorial Library" and sent to the Library Director at Herr Memorial Library, 500 Market Street, Mifflinburg, PA  17844.

     In appreciation of gifts in the amount of $50 or more, a book plate will be placed in a new book in honor of the donor.
