Students and teachers, administrators and career professionals – anyone who wants to brush up on basic communication and math skills – will find that the free access to the Learning Express Library is very valuable.
The Learning Express Library, which is provided for member libraries by the North Central Pennsylvania Library District, offers interactive online practice tests, career building tools, and writing aides for adults and children.
Patrons may access the Learning Express Library 24 hours, seven days a week from any internet-enabled computer at home, from laptops, or by visiting the Herr Memorial Library.
The tests are based on official exams such as the ACT, SAT, GED, ASVAB, Firefighter, Police Officer, Paramedic, EMT Basic, U.S. Citizenship, Postal Worker, Cosmetology, Real Estate Agent and Broker Exams.
The Learning Express Library also offers comprehensive courses in math, reading, and writing; essay writing practice with instant scoring; resume writing and workplace skills enrichment; and more than 300 online practice tests for students and adults of all ages, from third-grade math skills to the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). All practice tests include instant score reports.
Complete explanations of answers accompany each test question so that users learn why a particular answer is right or wrong. For those who are preparing for the SAT or GED, the Learning Express Library offers a complete course series, as well as targeted essay writing practice with multiple writing prompts and instant score reports.
To use the Learning Express Library from home, simply click below, type in your library card number, and sign in with a name and password of your choice. Registering allows you to stop at any time during a test and then return to it later.
