Union County Library System
The Herr Memorial Library became an independent member
of the federated Union County Library System (UCLS) in 1998. The
other UCLS libraries are the West End Library in Laurelton and the
Public Library for Union County in Lewisburg. A Reference
Librarian, whose office is in Lewisburg, serves all three.

Each of the libraries accepts the UCLS library card,
and materials may be borrowed or returned at any location. An
Internet-linked catalog system allows library users to search for
materials at all of the libraries and offers access to individual
library accounts.
To begin using the individual account feature, you must first receive a “Patron or Alternate ID Number” and PIN, or personal identification number, from your library. You may change your PIN after you have activated your account.
Materials cannot be renewed online if one or more of the following conditions exist:

Your card has expired or been blocked

The material’s renewal limit has been reached

The material is overdue
-
You have any unpaid fines
-
The material is on hold
Holds, or reserves, are not available at all libraries, and some fees and guidelines differ at different locations, so if you use more than one library you are urged to become familiar with the policies of each.
If you change your PIN and then forget it, you must visit the library with your UCLS card to have the account reset.
