Herr Library raffle winners announced

Two fundraisers took place at the Herr Memorial Library during Mifflinburg's Christkindl Market in early December. The Lawton-Chapman Insurance Agency hosted a German-inspired Kaffeehaus with help from the Mifflinburg Area High School French Club, and members of the library's Advisory Board held a raffle.
During the Kaffeehaus, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, cookies, and a homemade Yule log were available to Market-goers for a small donation. The raffle drawing was made on the final day of the Christkindl Market.
Philip Hollister won a $50 gift certificate from Country Farm & Home Gift and Garden Center, and Viola Havice received a $50 gift certificate from the Mifflinburg Hotel and Scarlet D Tavern.
The library's staff and administration would like to thank all of the volunteers for their help at the library during the Christkindl Market, as well as for support from the Chapman-Lawton Insurance Agency, Country Farm & Home Gift and Garden Center, and the Mifflinburg Hotel and Scarlet D Tavern. All proceeds from the fundraisers will support library programs and services.
