Free computer classes available at Herr Library
press release
Michael Higgins, a C.O.R.E. Susquehanna AmeriCorps volunteer, is offering free individual instruction in basic computer skills for adults at the Herr Memorial Library in Mifflinburg. The 45-minute sessions will be held on Thursday afternoons beginning Sept. 25 and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
This is Michael’s second year offering computer instruction at Union County libraries, and he has helped residents learn word processing, basic Internet navigation, e-mail, e-bay, simple desktop publishing programs, and how to upload digital photos. Other subjects may be covered, too.
To register for computer classes, call 966-0831 or visit the library at 500 Market Street. Herr Memorial Library is open from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
