Jewelry fundraiser

This necklace, bracelet, and earring set will be given to lucky purchasers of jewelry during the fundraiser.

     One of the most rewarding holidays for presenting a gift is Valentine’s Day, because it is a time to show loved ones how important they are.  This year, area residents can feel good about giving a double gift by purchasing items through a jewelry fundraiser for the Herr Memorial Library.

     While jewelry may not have replaced chocolate or flowers, it is becoming more and more popular as a Valentine’s Day gift.  The jewelry line available at the Herr Memorial Library features fine sterling silver and a variety of gems, stones, and other natural materials such as leather, wood, and shells. Styles range from traditional and classic to modern and bold.

     From Jan. 2 through 26 men and women will be able to order jewelry items just for fun or for Valentine’s Day gift-giving when they visit the library.  Everyone who completes a paid order will be entered to win one of three pieces

     of free jewelry. Catalogues will be available at the library for people to borrow so that they can browse at their convenience at home.  Orders can be placed at any time when the library is open. The items will arrive before Feb. 14.

     Women may fill out wish lists to leave at the library for their significant others to see.  A personal design consultant will be available at the library from 7:15 to 9 p.m. on Mon., Jan. 21, and Wed., Jan. 23, as well as from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thurs., Jan. 24, to help men and women choose.  As an added incentive, all orders from men can be gift-wrapped for them by library volunteers.
